Grade-Level Planning Meeting Guide

Use this guide to facilitate structured and collaborative grade-level meetings.

As outlined in The Opportunity Makers, teachers in trajectory-changing schools work in structured teams to improve instruction. Regular grade-level meetings allow educators to pool their expertise, address student needs comprehensively, and track progress effectively. This collaborative model fosters a sense of shared responsibility and collective action.

This guide helps facilitate structured collaboration among grade-level teachers. It is designed for teachers and support staff across a grade level that serves students for core instruction, support, and intervention. It is particularly relevant when educators are teaching different content to the same group of students.

This guide is drawn from the practices at New Heights Academy Charter School.
