Parent Guides by Grade Level

Use these guides from the MA Department of Elementary and Secondary Education to learn what to expect from your child's school at every grade level.

The Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education has produced a set of Parent Guides, which break down learning standards at every grade level from Pre-K to high school. While the guides are geared toward Massachusetts parents, they offer useful information for parents in any state about what you should expect for your child’s learning at each grade level. They also include suggestions for questions to ask your child about school and for topics to discuss with your child’s teachers.
