A template for raising concerns with your child’s principal or local school board members.

As a parent, you are without question a valued partner in shaping your child’s experiences in school. You have a right to clear, useful, timely information about your child’s academic progress, and the right to raise concerns, questions, and ideas with leaders at your school and in the wider school system.

These letters offer language for reaching out to your child’s principal and your local school board members. Fill in the red text to make the letter more personal and to add anything else that’s important to you. Adapt as much of this language as you wish to describe your particular child and to convey your unique concerns.
