Tyler Clark-McLendon

Senior Manager, Academics

they/he/she

Tyler is an expert in literacy teaching, instructional coaching, instructional leadership, and change management strategy. They have more than a decade of teaching and coaching experience.

Tyler received a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and a master’s degree in elementary administration and leadership. Tyler was an elementary school teacher for eight years, and a literacy/instructional coach for four years. All of their school-based experiences were for Title I communities. Tyler’s work with the Early Literacy Network allowed them to work with multiple districts (both rural and urban) across the state to build knowledge and capacity for district and school leaders, as well as for thousands of teachers, to improve students’ early literacy outcomes. Their current work on the TN ALL Corps high-dosage tutoring project takes isolated literacy services and scales them out, supporting the state and TNTP’s many district partners in building coherent experiences that accelerate learning for all students.

TNTP is powered by our people, and I could not be more excited to show up to work each day in order to collaborate, problem-solve, and challenge the status quo along with my colleagues.
