Sarah Hatter

Director, Consulting

she/her

Sarah Hatter is an expert in new-teacher pipeline and preparation programs, with over a decade of consulting experience.

Sarah started working for TNTP part-time with the TEACH Charlotte program in 2011. She discovered a passion for supporting and developing new teachers, and she decided to join the program as a full-time Effectiveness Coach in 2012. For the past 11 years with TNTP, Sarah has been designing and launching alternative-route preparation programs. Two projects, CMS Teaching Residency and Winston-Salem Teacher Residency, gave Sarah the opportunity to support districts with designing their own district-run alternative-route teacher preparation programs. Both projects are currently independently operated by the districts and remain an important recruitment and preparation initiative to attract and retain new teachers.

I enjoy working alongside colleagues who come from a variety of backgrounds and experiences. I appreciate the colleagues who can push my thinking and support innovation internally and externally.
