Sachel Harris

Manager, Social Media

Sachel has worked as a producer, broadcast journalist, photographer, and writer. She has expertise in social media, photography, video, and storytelling.

Sachel came to TNTP with no experience in the world of education but years of experience as a storyteller. At the time a new mom, she believed passionately in TNTP’s mission, and her role at the organization has allowed her to marry her love of impactful storytelling with the goal of ending educational inequity. Of the many projects she’s helped bring to life, the one closest to her heart has been The One Million Teachers of Color campaign, which has the goal of adding 1 million teachers of color and 30,000 leaders of color to the education workforce over the next decade. By achieving this goal, Sachel hopes students of color across the country will have the opportunity to see themselves in their leaders and teachers, and to dream about the possibilities of who they can become.

As a storyteller, I love being able to take our big ideas and communicate them in fresh and captivating ways to our audiences. Each day brings a different challenge and adventure.
