Bailey Cato Czupryk

SVP, Transformation

As Senior Vice President of Transformation, Bailey Cato Czupryk leads TNTP’s efforts to learn from and continuously improve our work, conduct external research that shapes the field, and develop resources to help improve experiences and outcomes for all students, especially those who are systemically and historically marginalized.

As Vice President of Practices, Diagnostics, and Impact, Bailey led our work to ensure that the organization measured and continuously improved its impact, developed tools to help schools understand the quality of their students’ experiences, and shared important lessons from our work internally and externally.

Previously, as a Partner, Bailey led the research team that produced TNTP’s acclaimed 2018 study, The Opportunity Myth. She also led TNTP’s practices and impact teams as they helped the organization adopt a new approach to goal setting and codifying many aspects of our work. Prior to that role, Bailey led TNTP’s academic work in Memphis, Tennessee, supporting the local school district in developing a vision of excellent literacy instruction and aligning its curriculum, assessment, and intervention programs to that vision. Bailey also has deep experience in teacher preparation and led TNTP’s Nashville Teaching Fellows program, which was recognized by the state of Tennessee as one of the state’s most effective teacher pipelines in 2016.

Prior to joining TNTP, she was an eighth-grade science teacher in Durham, North Carolina, and coached K-12 literacy, math, and science teachers in Jacksonville, Florida. Bailey holds a B.A. in Political Science and Sociology-Criminology from the University of Oklahoma. She lives in Memphis with her husband, Josh, and her son, Grayson.
