Anya Harrington
VP, Strategic Communications, Brand, and Marketing
As Vice President of Strategic Communications, Brand, and Marketing, Anya Harrington oversees the organization’s external voice and brand, driving the development and execution of TNTP’s communication, marketing, media, and engagement strategies. This includes connecting narratives from across the organization, showcasing TNTP’s impact and leadership in the sector, and generating the external momentum necessary to achieve favorable outcomes for students.
As an experienced communications professional with over 18 years of diverse experience, Anya excels at curating compelling campaigns and has spearheaded the creative strategy for several impactful storytelling projects and initiatives, including The Push documentary, the What We Are Made Of campaign, and the recently launched national advertising campaign, Being Present Matters.
Her media portfolio includes features in top publications and broadcasts such as the New York Times, Washington Post, Education Week, Politico, The 74, Good Morning America, CBS Mornings, CNN, MSNBC, Huffington Post, ESSENCE, and Glamour magazines.
With a strong passion for community service, Anya embodies her commitment as a cause communicator dedicated to empowering, educating, and uplifting communities through impactful messaging and strategies.
Prior to joining TNTP, Anya served as Vice President of Marketing and Communications at Communities In Schools, where she led their national marketing strategy and managed operations and strategies for the marketing and communications department, focusing on advertising, branding, cause marketing integration, thought leadership, crisis communications, and organizational messaging.
Anya graduated from Howard University with a B.A. in Print Journalism and a concentration in Business Administration. She later earned her master’s degree in Public Relations and Corporate Communications from Georgetown University.
