A year of connection, growth, and shared purpose

In this season of togetherness, we can take comfort in knowing that we’re part of something bigger—a network of educators, leaders, and communities committed to making sure that our public education system prepares all young people to thrive.

As we reflect on 2024, we’re inspired by the impact we’ve made and the opportunities ahead to create the educational experiences students deserve. Through our work in the field with educators, leaders, policymakers, and community members, we’ve reached 19 million students in 4,285 school systems across 41 states this year alone.

TNTP’s North Star vision, introduced in 2022, calls for bold action to shape a better future for every generation. A strong academic foundation is essential for a thriving life, but more is needed to ensure young people can achieve their dreams.

This year, we launched Paths of Opportunity, a research series exploring how to expand social and economic mobility for future generations. In addition to strong academics, young people need career-connected learning, civic engagement, social capital, and personal support. When these elements come together, young people can successfully transition from PK-12 education to thriving lives and careers into adulthood.

To bring this vision to life for all young people, we must join forces across systems and sectors to forge paths of opportunity that challenge and support young people to meet their goals and reach their dreams.

Together, let’s keep building a world where every young person—every generation—thrives.
