Monica MilliganVP, Client Team
Monica Milligan oversees a diverse portfolio of client work that integrates TNTP’s approaches on academics, talent management, and supportive environments for students and teachers.
Previously, as a Partner, Monica launched and led TNTP’s New Models practice, which helps states, districts, and schools design and implement innovative models of learning and teaching. In this role, Monica secured multi-year partnerships with the Robin Hood Foundation, Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, and other funders to define, test, and refine an approach to implementing innovative school models and programs across diverse schools, districts, and charter networks. She also helped design new approaches to teacher and leader development for teachers and school leaders in innovative school settings.
Prior to joining TNTP, Monica served as the Chief Operating Officer at KIPP Austin Public Schools, where she helped the network double its size and led the acquisition and renovation of three campuses. She also led several district-wide innovation initiatives at Chicago Public Schools, including the implementation of a longer school day and year across 650 schools and the launch of the district’s first blended learning pilot across 15 schools and 7,500 students. Monica also served as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company, where she helped Fortune 500 companies, including United Airlines and Union Pacific Railroads, craft their growth strategies and transform their operations.
Monica holds a BA in psychology from Amherst College and an MBA from Harvard Business School. She was also a middle school math teacher in New Orleans.
