FAQ

I’m interested in applying for a position, but I don’t see a closing date anywhere in the job description. Is the position still open?

If a position is listed on our website, we are actively accepting applications. We accept and review applications – and make hiring decisions – on a rolling basis, so it is to your advantage to apply as soon as possible.

I’m interested in working for TNTP, but I don’t see a position listed right now that looks like a good fit.  Can I send my resume for you to keep on file?

We only accept applications for current vacancies.  Please check back frequently to see if we have posted a new opportunity that looks like a good match for your interests and skills. If you’d like to receive monthly emails about job opportunities at TNTP, please click here to subscribe. It is also a good idea to 'like us' on Facebook and connect with us via LinkedIn.  These portals each offer unique insight into what drives our work and where we are headed in the future.

Will I be notified of my status after submitting an application?

Because we receive so many applications for each vacancy, we are unable to respond to every candidate who submits an application. After thorough review of your resume and cover letter, if we believe that you may be a fit for a position for which you have applied, the Human Capital department will contact you via email within two weeks of your application with detailed information about the next step. You will only be contacted if you are invited to advance in the hiring process.

How do I submit an application for multiple positions?

  1. Login as a previous applicant using your email address.  Please use the same email address to login each time you’d like to apply.  If you’d like to change this email address, please email us.
  2. Use the Search Openings link to identify positions of interest.
  3. Click on the title of the first position you'd like to apply to and review the job description.  At the bottom of the page, click on the Add to My Jobs button to submit your profile for consideration for this position. Repeat for each position for which you’d like to apply.
  4. Then, upload a cover letter reflecting your interest(s). Click on Update My Information and scroll down to Part 2 to upload your customized cover letter(s) in Microsoft Word or Adobe PDF format.  You may upload up to 6 attachments in addition to your resume. If you’d like to submit additional attachments, please email us and specify which position(s) your attachments apply to.

Is a cover letter required for every position for which I apply?

Yes.  If you are applying for multiple positions, submit a customized cover letter that reflects your interest in all opportunities for which you have applied. You may either submit one cover letter addressing all positions or submit a separate cover letter for each opportunity.

Does TNTP review supplemental materials—such as transcripts, letters of recommendation, or writing samples?

We only review specific materials requested in the job description.

How do I see a full list of all vacancies at TNTP?

Visit this page and click the Search button without entering any search criteria.

I saw a posting for a job at TNTP, but the position is not listed on your website. Is it still available?

If a position does not appear in our list of vacancies, we are no longer accepting applications or the position has been filled. TNTP’s hiring teams review applicants and move candidates through the hiring process on a rolling basis, and generally postings remain open until we find the right candidate. When advertising our vacancies on external websites, our recruitment team is not always able to control how long postings remain listed.  Occasionally, a posting on an external site outlives the actual vacancy. Our website is the most reliable place to check whether or not a position is still available.

What does “flexible location” mean?

Positions that are listed as having a flexible location can be based out of a home office anywhere in the United States.

Does TNTP offer summer internships?

We offer part-time and seasonal job opportunities throughout the year and occasionally (but infrequently) hire interns over the summer. The best way to stay up-to-date on our seasonal opportunities is to visit this page  and designate Part-Time Seasonal as the Type of Vacancy, then click Search. Summer opportunities are typically posted in the spring. Most seasonal and part-time vacancies have unique application procedures; please check the relevant posting for information on how to apply.

If you have a question not answered here, please feel free to contact us, and a member of the Human Capital department will respond within three business days.
