Joseph Bywater

Joseph Bywater oversees technology operations, direction and strategy; manages design and implementation of internal technology projects; consults with external clients; and ensures IT alignment with the organization’s business priorities. He has over 14 years of experience in enterprise-level technology, including web development, database administration, systems administration, and technology management.

Joseph joined TNTP in 2004 as the Director of Technology for the NYC Teaching Fellows. In 2010, Joseph became Technology Partner for TNTP’s central Information Technology team, where he improved tech support services and stabilized internal systems.

Prior to joining TNTP, Joseph was a software developer for one of the most trafficked networks on the internet. He has a BFA from Syracuse University and began his career as an art teacher.
