Amanda Kocon

Amanda Kocon oversees the Emerging Services Department, which conducts research and generates innovative ideas to improve policies and practices that affect the quality of the teacher workforce. Prior to this role, Amanda worked on the TNTP Houston Foundations for Teacher Excellence team, designing and implementing a new teacher development model for the 11,000 teachers in the Houston Independent School District, and re-allocating resources to ensure cost-neutral implementation.

Amanda worked for 15 years in financial services, with extensive experience growing businesses and innovating across products, operations and technology. Most recently she was the Chief Operating Officer for JP Morgan’s Global Futures & OTC Clearing division, overseeing management of the division across 50+ markets. Amanda holds a BA in International Relations from Scripps College.
